logovoetTanzania has been elected the best safari country in Africa – and that’s no surprise – with its 16 different nature and game reserves, Tanzania is able to offer a rich choice of different safari tours.

logovoetIt may not be possible to visit all the National Parks in a single holiday, but you will be able to visit an exciting combination of these wildlife parks during a tour of Tanzania.

logovoetYou can choose to go on a safari tour through the Northern Parks, such as Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Lake Natron, Lake Eyasi and the Ngorongoro Crater, where spotting the Big 5 is guaranteed, as well as herds of thousands of wild animals.

logovoetThe Southern Parks, such as Mikumi, Ruaha and the vast Selous, may be less known, but certainly not less spectacular. Each park has its own character making them all unique. On the east coast of Tanzania is the youngest of the national parks, Saadani –  the only reserve to border on the Indian Ocean – where you may encounter elephants and other wild animals on the beaches.

logovoetThe mighty Wami and Rufiji Rivers stream through the Saadani park, making it possible to go on adventurous boat safaris, allowing you to get close to hippos, crocodiles and exotic birds.

TANZANIA
Tanzania is a large country located in East Africa with a total area of 945,087 square kilometers (364,900 square miles), rendering it slightly larger than twice the size of California. The area of Tanzania includes the islands of Mafia, Pemba, and Unguja; the latter 2 form a semi-autonomous region called Zanzibar that is part of an official union with the republic of Tanzania. With a coastline that spans 1,424 kilometers (883 miles), the eastern part of Tanzania borders the Indian Ocean, while to the north lies Kenya, to the northeast Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, to the west Congo, to the southwest Zambia, and, finally, to the south, Malawi and Mozambique. The former capital of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, is situated along the coastline of the Indian Ocean, close to Zanzibar. The new capital, Dodoma, is located slightly to the north of the center of the country.

Tanzania Experience: can any one mental snapshot encapsulate the Tanzanian experience? Thousands upon thousands of wildebeest that march in mindless unison on the annual migration through the Serengeti, perhaps? Or a family of elephants wading across the wide, muddy Rufiji/Tarangire River? What about a pride of wellfed lions sunbathing on the grassy floor of the majestic Ngorongoro Crater? Certainly, it is such images that tend to spring to mind when one thinks of Tanzania.tanzania-selous-leeuwen

Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the world’s most accessible high summits, a beacon for visitors from around the world. Most climbers reach the crater rim with little more than a walking stick, proper clothing and determination. And those who reach Uhuru Point, the actual summit, or Gillman’s Point on the lip of the crater, will have earned their climbing certificates. And their memories.

Zanzibar, considered the Jewel of the Indian Ocean, is the perfect place to relax, live an adventure and enjoy the authentic African experience, with the comfort and security you can expect at home. Zanzibar’s tropical climate, incredible beaches, fascinating history and warm, welcoming people will captivate you will enjoy an experience you will never forget.Kilimanjaro - Tanzaniazanzibar-sunset-cruise
